A new joint venture between DOMUSVI and IDEC GRAND SUD
DOMUSVI, a group specializing in providing day-to-day care for the elderly, is constantly expanding and progressing both nationally and internationally. The collaboration between DOMUSVI and IDEC GRAND SUD has many success stories to its credit as well as projects that are still in the pipeline. DOMUSVI has once again placed its trust in the GROUPE IDEC subsidiary to build a new facility in Pau (64).
A 5,500 m² facility
This new 5,500 m² facility is divided into two separate buildings: a Residence for Seniors and a nursing home. The retirement residence has a surface area of 1,500 m² and is built on two floors. “This residence offers a total of 30 studio and one-bedroom apartments, as well as a reception area, a multi-purpose room and a dining room” explains Artur.
The second building that houses the nursing home spans 4,000 m², and is built on three and four levels with a total of 65 bedrooms. “A Protected Unit for Dependent Persons (UPPD) is incorporated into the nursing home with 14 specialized bedrooms, a lounge, a treatment room and an outdoor garden” explains Artur. This facility will also feature activity rooms, administrative areas, a cafeteria, a hairdressing salon, living areas, a balneotherapy room, a physical mobility room, sensory stimulation rooms and several gardens.
“The two facilities will be connected by a central section on the ground floor, which will provide an internal passageway between them and will contain a kitchen, a laundry room, a cafeteria and a dining room” adds Artur.
Work has begun
The IDEC GRAND SUD teams started work on the site at the end of July with the external works, beginning with the creation of the building platforms and the primary networks. “The structural work is scheduled to start in September with the reinforcement of the soil and the foundations. The facility will be watertight and airtight by the end of April 2023” says Artur.
Final delivery of this facility is planned for December 2023.
